In 1986, Holmes Terrace Baptist Church in Memphis, Tennessee purchased ten acres of land on a two lane road known as Goodman Road in Southaven, Mississippi.  From that time, services were held in a borrowed building while members volunteered their time and labor to build a church.

Clearview Baptist Church held their first service in their brand new building at the current location of 3345 Goodman Road on June 14, 1987 .

The year 2012 marked the 25th anniversary of Clearview Baptist Church.
